On August 15, with the help of our volunteers, six puppies were rescued from a high kill San Antonio shelter where all were scheduled to be euthanized. Puppies are at the highest risk of euthanasia because they come into the shelter unvaccinated and pose a health risk to not only themselves but other shelter dogs. Due to this, puppies 3 months and younger don’t even need to be held when surrendered to a shelter, and can be euthanized at any time to open the “cell” for the next dog.

These beautiful beagle/terrier mix puppies could not get any cuter. They deserve the love of a family, with lots of play time and after play snuggling. The pups love to be held, pet, and played with! Check out our Available Dogs page to adopt!
