Duchess came to us as a mamma kitty with her 3 kittens. She gave birth in a high kill shelter the day she arrived, so we rescued her the next day. Despite the stress of coming from a shelter environment and still having to care for her babies, she has been such a sweet cat! She has tolerated a lot of change and has been patient with me as I weigh and examine her babies daily. As her babies have grown up, she has shown me how much of a kitten she is herself! She LOVES catnip. When she has breaks in-between feeding her babies, I find her playing with cat nip toys, rolling in catnip, or chasing spring toys. She loves to sit in her foster’s lap and purrs so loudly for more pets. Ms Duchess is now ready for mamma retirement. She is extremely affectionate and loving, so anyone would be lucky to have her as their kitty. She will be grateful to have a space of her own and a break from motherhood! Duchess would prefer to be in a home as the only kitty, she is okay with dogs.
